Since graduating from NYU film in 2004 Jody Lee Lipes has lensed the narrative feature Afterschool, 
directed by Antonio Campos (Cannes '08), the documentary feature Wild Combination: A Portrait of
Arthur Russell
, directed by Matt Wolf (Berlinale '08), and the forthcoming narrative feature The Good
Forest
(working title) directed by Banks Griffin.

In addition to creating short documentaries for the New York Times, Good Magazine and Friends of
the Highline, Lipes has shot and directed multiple spots for AmEx, Citibank, Discovery Channel,
and others. As DP his music video resume includes The Shins, El-P, and Sony Records artist Josh
Ritter. Television credits include Season 1 and 2 of IFC's The Whitest Kids U'Know, and the
Sundance Channel series Highline Stories.

Jody is currently in pre-production as director/dp of Jerome Robbins' NY Export: Opus Jazz the film,
a feature length dance film collaboration with New York City Ballet. His first feature length documentary
Brock Enright: Good Times Will Never Be The Same (2009), premiered at SXSW, won a Special Jury
Prize at Sarasota, and played the prestigious Hot Docs film festival in Toronto.
